Zagabria è, a mio parere, una città molto interessante dove si possono osservare nettamente i segni storici ed architettonici dell'Impero Austro Ungarico (basta vedere alcuni palazzi, ma anche il cimitero monumentale) e questi convivono di fianco ad un modernismo che affonda radici profonde nel popolo croato e che gli ha concesso, nel relativamente recente passato comunista, di non cedere all'architettura grigia ed anonima di stile sovietico. La vita scorre serena seppur i segni lasciati dal terremoto del 22 aprile 2022 sono ancora evidenti fra facciate storiche danneggiate e case crollate ancora li a ricordare una ferita.
In my opinion, Zagabria is a very interesting city where you can clearly observe the historical and architectural signs of the Austro-Hungarian Empire (just see some buildings, but also the monumental cemetery) and these coexist alongside a modernism that has deep roots in the Croatian people and which allowed them, in the relatively recent communist past, not to give in to the gray and anonymous architecture of the Soviet style. Life goes on peacefully even though the signs left by the earthquake of 22 April 2022 are still evident among the damaged historic facades and collapsed houses still there to remember a wound.
